The Kauswagan Water District (KWD) was created pursuant to SB Resolution No. 69, Series of 1994, and in accordance with the Provisions of Presidential Decree 198, as amended, ruled by the Supreme Court Enbanc Decision last July 1992 as “Government-Owned & Controlled Corporation (GOCC), inherited the 1960’s Water System by virtue of the Deed of Transfer from the Local Government Unit of Kauswagan with only 131 connections. Constituted with a five (5) Board of Directors and staff, operates with the franchise of the whole Municipality of Kauswagan as granted in the same provision PD 198, as amended.

After the issuance of the Conditional Certificate of Conformance (CCC) No. 540, issued by the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) Quezon City, on August 01, 1994, the Kauswagan Water District has served only four (4) adjacent barangays with 3 to 4 hours water supply everyday.

The Kauswagan Water District has prepared a Program of Work for loan from the Internal Investment Program of the Local Water Utilities Administration to finance the Comprehensive Water System Development for Kauswagan, LDN utilizing the Gravity Spring Source and a multi pumping system was commissioned.

For the time being, the Kauswagan Water District is intensifying measures to accelerate collection and reduce non revenue water to sustain basic operational requirement to ensure twenty four (24) hours delivery of water supply to the cosuming public.
